Business class and first class passengers travelling with Star Alliance airlines from Terminal 1 at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport – a roster that includes Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Turkish Airlines and more – can now retreat to an updated Star Alliance lounge before their flight.
With seating for over 220 high flyers and Star Alliance Gold members across the 980-square-metre space, some travellers will be drawn to the newly-styled landscaped garden: an outdoor section of the lounge that breaks away from the typical ‘airport’ vibe…
… although inside, there’s plenty of other seating to choose from across this two-storey facility, with Parisian style and architecture influencing the design of the space and the selection of artwork found throughout.
With the lounge retaining its distinct business class and first class sections, business class flyers and Star Alliance Gold members will find buffet dining offering a variety of hot and cold dishes centred around French favourites and flavours, which can be enjoyed in the dining area…
… or if just settling in with a beverage, perhaps more comfortably at the social area just behind:
There’s plenty of natural light throughout, with near-panoramic views of the airport offered from the upper level…
… where laptop benches and working areas intertwine amid more relaxed zones:
Speaking of work, Star Alliance says that “specific attention was paid to a significant increase of power sockets to make sure guest can stay connected at all times,” with the outlets here offering both USB and European-style AC sockets, complementing lounge-wide WiFi.
However, if you’d rather relax, there’s a more secluded, apartment-style space found over in the corner of the business class lounge:
First class passengers of Air China, Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways can also explore the first class area of the Star Alliance lounge, which will prove much quieter than the regular business class space, given the first class section does not open its doors to any frequent flyers.
Here, each passenger is afforded much more space and privacy…
… with more artwork showcasing Paris in its best light.
Shower facilities are available to all passengers, with the lounge complex opening daily from 5:30am to 10pm to serve eligible passengers departing on Air China, ANA, Asiana, EgyptAir, EVA Air, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Turkish Airlines and United flights.
Business class and Star Alliance Gold guests departing on Aegean flights to Greece can also access this lounge by special arrangement with French authorities, by crossing through passport control to access the lounge, and returning back through passport control to catch their flight from the Schengen Area of the terminal, Star Alliance confirms.
When capacity permits, the business class section of the Star Alliance lounge also opens to Priority Pass cardholders travelling with any airline, joined by LoungeKey members as well as Diners Club cardholders.
This includes Diners Club cards issued and serviced directly by Diners Club in Australia, but excludes Citibank-branded Linked Diners Club Cards issued in conjunction with a Citibank Platinum, Signature or Prestige Visa credit card.
United Club and Air Canada Maple Leaf Club (Worldwide) members also have access to this lounge when travelling on any Star Alliance airline.
