Qantas Boeing 747 business class seat selection

Hi everyone- I am about to travel solo from SFO to SYD Business with B747 (New configuration: No first class),

I’ve already got 12A. The whole upper deck is full.

However, 3J (aisle seat in last row of the nose cabin) just came out today and it is quite tempting.

Would be great if you could suggest which one, in your opinion, is better.

Thank you :)

3J is in front of the pilot. It gives an amazing feeling during taxi and takeoff. It is easier to access than the upper deck. It is very private part of the aircraft. There is almost no noise, except at takeoff and landing when the nose gear is moved. Enjoy the flight, they are both excellent seats.

Have done both, and would definitely pick 3J. Being so close to the nose you can almost see forward, and truly the only noise is the wind across the nose. It’s pretty cool...!

I'd go for 3A, being in that truly pointy end of the jumbo is not something you often get!

I'd definitely go 3J. As others have said, that feeling in the pointy section is unique.

3J for sure. Sat in the lower deck and did the upper deck on the return. Definitely preferred the lower deck. Enjoy the flight on the 747 as we slowly start saying goodbye to this iconic aircraft.

Agree with 3J

have sat in that row on a LAX/JFK sector and it's an experience not to be missed

Thank you so much everyone
Already changed from 12A to 3J
Fingers crossed the checkin staff will offer row 2 window seat if it is still available then. (It is vacant now but blocked for P1 and CL)
