Virgin Australia flights appear on Qatar Website?

I just did a search from Melbourne to Manchester and it put forgot "MEL > ADL > DOH > MAN"

Since when is Qatar pushing people on Virgin Flights? I thought they were OneWorld and using Qantas.

Did I miss something?

Airlines will find a cheaper connection regardless of their alliance. Try making a trip to india with QF. They will find Air India (Star Alliance) or Jet Airways (no alliance) but rarely would they connect you with Cathay (One World). Also, the example provided by Mannej (above)....

You're lucky that you're having a actual Boeing flying MEL-ADL. Qatar flights between Dhaka and Chittagong in Bangladesh is operated by bus, with an overnight flight (Driving) time of 8 hours.
