Cathay Pacific's new Singapore T4 business class lounge

Cathay Pacific's new Singapore T4 business class lounge

Our full review of Cathay Pacific’s new Singapore lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 4 can now be read here.

PREVIOUS | Cathay Pacific’s swish new Singapore lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 4 will open its doors on Tuesday October 31, and travellers are in for a treat.

With room for over 200 guests, the spacious lounge is one of the airline’s largest outside of Hong Kong and also its first dedicated lounge in Singapore, having previously used shared contract lounges at Terminal 1 – and most often with a very long walk to your flight's departure gate.

So with nine Cathay Pacific flights each day darting between Singapore and Hong Kong, having its own lounge for premium passengers on the airline’s busiest regional routes is long overdue.

Located on a mezzanine level above T4's second floor departures zone, with views over the airfield and just a short stroll to the T4 departure gates, the lounge follows the same elegant Ilse Crawford design as Cathay’s newest signature lounges including Hong Kong flagship The Pier.

That means a warm residential feel with an upscale yet understated palette.

Designer furniture and lighting, natural materials and touches of greenery help make the lounge a relaxing haven for busy business travellers.

Familiar elements include The Noodle Bar, with a selection of freshly prepared Asian dishes including wonton soup, dan dan noodles and 'Singaporean laksa'.

What you won't find: showers or a tended bar.

Cathay Pacific’s Singapore T4 lounge will be open to the airline's business class passengers and, for those in economy: Marco Polo Club members holding Diamond,  Gold or Silver status, along with Oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members, including Qantas’ Platinum and Gold frequent flyers (but not Qantas Club members).

However, travellers flying out from Terminals 1 and 2 – used by Qantas, British Airways and Malaysian Airlines to name a few – who are hoping for some lounge-hopping are out of luck, as access to the shiny new Terminal 4 will be restricted to passengers with boarding passes for T4 flights.

Visited lounge yesterday only 3 seats have not very good views of airfield. CX gates at end of terminal (5 to 10m walk) because gates opposite lounge dont have double airbridge! Amazing!
Interesting that T4 is home to Air Asia and Scoot.
