Cathay Pacific expands to Brussels, Dublin, Copenhagen

Cathay Pacific will add three new European destinations to its network in 2018, with the airline's latest Airbus A350 taking Brussels, Dublin and Copenhagen under its wing.

The schedules put each city within a short connection from flights between Australia and Hong Kong – although that can just as easily be a long connection if you want to spend some extra time in Cathay's flagship lounges or break your journey and spend some time in Hong Kong itself.

Flights from Hong Kong to Brussels and Dublin routes will run four times weekly, while Copenhagen – which will operate as a seasonal summer service – will fly three times per week.

Brussels flights will begin March 25, 2018 on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, as per the schedule below:

Seasonal Copenhagen flights will kick off from May 2 through to October 12, flying on Monday, Wednesday and Friday:

Finally, flights to Dublin will launch on June 2 and run on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday:

Cathay Pacific's Airbus A350 includes a refinement of the airline's highly-regarded business class seats along with all-new premium economy class, with inflight Internet available to all passengers from US$10 pr hour to a better-value US$20 for the entire flight.

    Also exactly the kind of routes originally intended(actually  planned) for the 343(A340-300) acquired by CX 2 decades ago to eventually open up.  At 1 point, CX did operated a fleet of 343 x15 when HKG still had plenty of vacant slots.

    And then oil price steadily marched upward and CX essentially buried the 343 for such European route plan.

    It's remarkable CX has now resurrected such European route plan in the form of the far more fuel efficient 359 despite the lack of HKG slots.
