  • I am curious if Qantas could relocate to Terminal 4 in the long term. Cathay use this terminal so there would be a One World partner. There is probably more space there to create a new flagship lounge. I don't know if any gates can cater for an A380, or if they can be upgraded to cater for the A3...

Jul 06, 2018, 12.06 PM / Qantas Club members lose access to Singapore lounge until September

  • I see this concept providing great flexibility/utilisiation for the fleet. If QF fit/provide on the upper deck the number of business seats required for medium haul, e.g. Asia, this is typically less than long haul (US & Europe). Then add the bed module or two when travelling to Europe and th...

  • As a QFF Platinum and a Singapore PPS I now avoid flying with Qantas to Australia as the lounge is too crowded. It is not the only consideration when purchasing a ticket but a significant one.

Jun 07, 2018, 10.27 AM / Qantas is turning travellers away from overcrowded Singapore lounge

  • Another own goal by Qantas. I am a 2400-3000 status a year person with about two thirds on Qantas. The latest change means that once a get to platinum I will change to another airline. Qantas are going to lose out on $30,000-$50,000 from a loyal customer. Mad!

Dec 15, 2017, 03.33 PM / Qantas tightens Partner Gold rules for Platinum frequent flyers

  • Strange move by Qantas. This disincentives those who typically earn 2000-2500 status credits a year, such as myself from flying with Qantas. Once I have reached platinum I will now transfer to Singapore Airlines and try for PPS Soliatire

  • 45 minutes is just way too tight and would not recommend it. In saying that I can highly recommend the airport and the staff in Hong Kong if you have a single booking with a connecting flight and the first flight is delayed.A couple of years back I got off a CX flight from SYD connecting with a K...

Dec 03, 2018, 08.04 PM / Qantas flight - 45 minute connection time at Hong Kong?

  • I fly for work business class but I regularly get economy when I am with my family. My son is 4 years old and does not take up much of a seat. It seems a waste using extra points when I have an artificially enlarged seat. Being Qantas platinum and Singapore PPS Solitaire I almost always get loung...

Nov 26, 2018, 04.38 PM / Reasons to not fly business?

  • I find most of their dishes are of a good to very good standard. The exception is the beef dishes and in particular any steak. These are very over done and all taste was removed half an hour before they finished cooking. Stick with the traditional Singaporean dishes and you rarely find an issue

Nov 08, 2018, 05.36 PM / Best Book The Cook (BTC) options for Singapore Airlines business class ?

  • I fly with my 4 year old regularly in business class and believe he has just as much right to be there as any other business class passenger. Has there been the odd flight where he has been less than perfect, Yes. But similarly there has been the odd flight where the service has not been up to sc...

Oct 07, 2018, 05.08 PM / Flying with a baby in Qantas First Class

  • Even if Qantas are planning something for Singapore I still think all those people that travel regularly to Singapore or London via Singapore have been let down. Not addressing the lounge with the most complaints is not good PR. Qantas could easily have said that they are reviewing their options ...
