  • CX is the quickest route for PER-JFK, both flights out of PER connect and you get the single transit stop rather than 2 with QF or VA. Have done QF and CX and definitely prefer CX.

  • I could find evidence that ADL-SIN was canned by QF in 2013. I would think this was about the same time as PER. My main point was that the solution that QF implemented to return to PER-SIN may not be applicable to ADL-SIN, so then their only current option is A330s, which are heavily in demand....

  • Previous comments on QF 9 say 25 seats blocked and no cargo. Is it possible to be only 500kg short of MTOW with these restrictions ? That is only 6 or so passengers.

  • As a gold frequent flyer I only get offered the rear 2 rows in PE on QF9. I have not seen the front row of PE offered at an extra fee. As an aside I could not find a schedule of extra legroom fees on Qantas’s website.

  • From Perth you can avoid both SYD and LAX with CX PER-HKG-JFK. Consistent product on both sectors and a good transit experience in HKG. I guess there will be another one stop option soon with SQ on the A350ULR.
