Correct. They're the same seat.

Yes, but you'll need to take a centre pair -- half of the centre pairs are closer to the aisle (separate), half of them are joined together. Get a joined-together pair and it'll be easy to chat with your partner.

Virgin Atlantic and Air New Zealand both have gate-to-gate recline.
Oct 24, 2014, 06.58 PM / 10 things you didn't know about the new Qantas Business Suite
Nope. American (QF's joint venture partner) only has a fraction of the connections out of SFO that it has out of LAX. That'd be why they moved to DFW. United and Virgin America are far and away the two biggest airlines out of SFO, which is why United and Air New Zealand fly to SFO, and Qantas do...

5A's definitely the pick of the bunch -- I sat there on my first Business Class jaunt on VA, and it still beats the forward cabin. See my review for all the details!
Mar 27, 2014, 09.00 AM / I'm flying on VA from LAX-MEL in Business class.
Air NZ Airpoints is good if you intend to fly with Star Alliance airlines -- probably only makes sense in Europe vs Velocity. I'd personally stay with Velocity if you mostly fly with Virgin.
Mar 26, 2014, 06.19 PM / Hi, I'm a long time Velocity member and take alot of flights over the ditch and sometime LAX.
For Status Credits, remember that *most* Singapore Airlines entry level "flexi saver" fares are cheaper by booking through the SQ site, and earn at the "Full Economy" rate. The entry level fares for SQ flights on VA codes are roughly the same price, but earn at the "Discount Economy" rate. So ba...
