Flight to LA is way too long to enjoy any PE.

ANY PE seats so far not "revolutionary" better than Y for flying to/from Europe and especially so overnight. I would say that they should be OK (not great, just bearable) for day flight to Asia and this is about it.

Nothing "revolutionary" except of big screen and yes, I rather have few inches less screen and few inches more legroom. Also they do recline back in face of rear passenger. Though "lazy Z' may be quite comfy for day flight.

Unlike international routes (MEL-BKK for example where Classic Award practically does not exist on QF metal) getting Classic Award on MEL-PER flight in J is relatively easy if you plan ahead and it cost 36K points. So if seats available I would rather get Classic Award.

At 120K points MEL-LHR it does not make much sense to upgrade vs getting Classic Reward. Understandable that Classic Reward are difficult to get, but upgrade is also practically unreachable for pax without status.
