As airport lounges have progressively been opened up to more and more frequentl fliers (and credit card holders), it is a good move to have a space dedicated to business class pax. I have been Platinum Velocity for years and am fortunate to fly in business most of the time, however Virgin’...

Crickey! After almost 25 years with AMEX this could be the last straw. I remember the good old days of excellent service and accrual at 1.5 per $ on almost everything. I have had both Centurion and Platinum over the years (ditched Cent because it became more about show than value return). Indeed,...

These domestic business class lounges are Qantas’ is trump card against Virgin. I am VA platinum and often fly J, but their lounge offering is way below par for business class - especially in Sydney!

I remember the good old days (circa 90s) when business class pax would only be called from the lounge once economy had boarded.
Sep 20, 2018, 02.43 PM / Here's how Qantas can make priority boarding actually work
If I have the option of getting a flight into ANY European entry point other than LHR I will. The delays on arrival (so-called Fast Track or not) are a bureaucratic joke. I prefer flying into Germany where I have often cleared immigration within minutes after a First or Business class flight. Avo...

Agreed daft009, sadly seems like the management at Amex know it too and hence decided to devalue membership for the sake of their profits. Reminds me of the way the banks treat their customers, clearly a new direction for Amex.
Feb 11, 2019, 09.34 PM / Amex changes knock 20% off value of airline transfers
I’ve just done the maths on the impact of the Amex Reward changes on my transfers to Singapore Airlines Krisflier. While the transfer rate has halved, earn rates have risen. After these changes come into effect I will be down about 19-23% in Krisflier value per transfer (month on month). T...

Same. Waiting two weeks for points to be credited for two domestic VA flights. In this day and age it really is unbelievable. Why is it not an automated process for VA? In a logical world you should step of the aircraft and the points would be credited within minutes.
Nov 21, 2018, 10.36 PM / Virgin Australia Velocity freeze, no points or status credits added
What are people’s views on the plan by VA to make US style announcements of veterans onboard their aircraft? While I have the deepest respect for veterans I can’t help being a little uneasy about it. I can imagine it feeling awkward for both Australian veterans and passengers. In fa...
