I've noticed that China Southern and Hainan are also hiring western cabin crew. Not sure about Air China. The Chinese carriers keep improving on product which is good. So long as safety keeps up and they keep developing their staff, they'll be a formidable presence moving forward.
Aug 09, 2018, 06.09 PM / Air China's new Airbus A350 business class raises the bar
By the time you enter the sterile area where the lounge is located you should have received full security and immigration clearance including whether you have the necessary visa. Checking for visas at a lounge in these circumstances would be impossible. Why? Because if you don't have the right vi...

Turkish Airlines is stirring the pot a little with Business on their A320s that's similar to the QF/VA layour rather than the 3-3 empty middle seat approach of the other EU carriers. It makes connecting out of Istanbul to Europe/ME/Africa far more attractive than BA or LH etc. Plus TK also use wi...

'My flight departs on time and arrives into Paris-Charles De Gaulle around half an hour early, helping to beat some of the Paris rush hour traffic on the way to the hotel'.Generally most AF long haul flights operate into AF's CDG hub. As for your lounges question below, to use a oneworld lounge u...

What surprises me is that QF couldn't anticipate what terrible feedback they'd get on the legroom/pitch issue and adapt. Wasn't it obvious in testing that the recline would make it almost impossible for a window seat pax to get out when their neighbors are sleeping? On a 17 hour flight? Instead t...

Unless you're in Business, SQ don't look after their Star Gold members well in SIN at all. The Kris Flyer Gold lounge in Singapore is poor. With oneworld Gold you get access to QF, BA and CX lounges at Changi which all have showers (SQ Gold lounge doesn't). Sadly, SQ don't treat their non J and F...
Oct 10, 2017, 06.49 PM / Singapore Airlines (Krisflyer) Gold or Qantas Gold?
For intra Europe flights on Lufthansa Group, Aegean etc... The LH Senator Lounge is great as these flights leave from 2A. I was there last week flying to Athens and considered going to 2B to check out United, SQ etc but the return journey back to 2A takes 40 mins. But the SQ and UA lounges are pr...
