I regularly use the UA lounges at LHR and HKG and both are very good. Actually the LHR one is excellent, so as they say - no rush. Also interesting to see how they change the space now that there will be United Club and Polaris sections. Hopefully the United Club international product will stay h...

Given the yield QF make on F and J tickets to London, it's a no brainer if they want to maintain a premium branding. Even for FF passengers who are also some of their most loyal and valuable.
Jan 18, 2019, 05.03 AM / Qantas says it won't scrap chauffeur service for points-based bookings
I'm usually at the LHR Senator lounge twice a month and love it. I don't think the food is much worse that the SQ or UA lounges. It's better than the AC lounge for sure. The soups, pasta, and salads are consistently great and the hot dish (usually a curry) is generally good too. Deserts are a lim...

John, normally you're spot on but not today. I just stayed at the Conrad Istanbul and there was no casino in sight. Neither did the one in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Washington or London where I also stayed in 2018. Conrad is just another premium brand of Hilton and would be a welcome addition to any Aust...

Also remember that much of the business (J) class demand in Europe is connecting traffic onto long haul. The airlines are obliged to provide a J class cabin for those pax but still maintain the flexibility of a movable curtain for high leisure sectors where there isn't much premium demand otherwi...
Dec 28, 2018, 08.22 PM / Why do European airlines love 'Euro-business' class?
Agreed. And with an enclosed suite like Delta One, they'll have an edge over BA. even with their new CW product.
Nov 10, 2018, 05.36 AM / Virgin Atlantic Airbus A350-1000 seatmap reveals 1-2-1 Upper Class seating
As others have already well stated - for any airline to fly a 250+ seat aircraft into Australia it needs to be able transfer many of those passengers throughout its national / trans Tasman network seamlessly. What your suggesting would require Virgin Australia to set up a network ex Broome (or el...

Oct 29, 2018, 11.13 PM / Turkish Airlines new Boeing 787, Airbus 350 business class seatmap
It's a nice idea but from my experience crew are not encouraged to consume food (esp if unsealed) given to them by passengers - for safety reasons. Many airlines ban it.
