  • Plenty of mixed reviews of the new Cathay Business Dining out there so far sine it’s Launch. I had it recently on a CX Europe to HK flight and found it a nice but small upgrade on their previous food service which has been lacking for years. It will be interesting to see how it goes on the...

Feb 12, 2019, 01.37 PM / Cathay Pacific 'Hong Kong Flavours' dishes for business, first class

  • I have found QF10 in business provides the best sleep opportunity and jet lag adjustment ex Europe to Aus. My recent experience is a quality 8 hours of uninterupted sleep a few hours into the flight after the first service and then waking up on my own before the final service and landing. The 16...

  • Pointless article. We heard all this with the A380.

Jan 27, 2019, 01.30 AM / Qantas: cafes, gyms and 'chill zones' for non-stop 20 hour flights

  • I don’t care for Boeing vs Airbus loyalty I believe both have class leaders and beat the other in different categories. In the 787 v 350 battle I would have to agree the A350 is superior to the 787. For me as a passenger it is quieter, wider (anyone who has flown 3-3-3 in 787 economy will ...

Jan 15, 2019, 10.10 AM / Cathay Pacific considers Airbus A350-1000 for Melbourne, Perth

  • They are maxed out for frequency to the big four (PER, BNE, SYD & MEL) they can add no more frequency to these four ports therefore going to bigger ac is the only option at this time. Due to long standing gov agreement politics (think of CX getting HK gov to refuse Jetstar HK etc)The Cathay 3...

  • Great discussion. Certainly raises intereting points about yield and capacity. Rembering Qantas’s international business until recently was making a loss year after year. Now profitable again on the international side they are clearly happy to sacrifice market share or volume of total seat...

    Feb 10, 2019, 05.34 PM / QF fleet management & 747 replacements

  • I wish they would can the Neil Perry tie up it’s run it’s course and is almost a detriment to Neil’s reputation these days. Obviously the food is made to a price point of QF’s choice but I think it needs a change up it’s lost it’s lustre completely in all...

  • The general rule is you can enter lower cabins than what your booked in not the reverse so will be fine

Dec 14, 2018, 10.18 AM / Business class passengers using the economy loo?

  • There is no connections really besides the odd jet star flight to BKK etc etc but it’s timing is perfect for WA folk who are using SIN as a final destination and back in your own bed that night on return. If your coming from MEL/BNE/SYD it’s certainly not a credible option as you ne...

    Dec 04, 2018, 07.10 AM / Qantas Perth-Singapore Airbus A330

  • Great news and I have certainly flown them again on the route since it has been put back to the 330 business suite 👍. A good option for QF only Adelaide folks also who can take a morning flight from Adelaide to Perth and hop on the mid day 330 to SIN rather than back tracking East.
