Starwood

The St. Regis Dubai hotel is now open, welcoming business travellers and high-end high flyers in the hub city of Emirates and the stopover point between Australia and London for home-grown Qantas.

Paying homage to The St. Regis New York hotel – the brand’s original property which opened in 1904 – French beaux-arts architecture and neoclassical interiors combine with a dazzling 1,200-piece crystal skylight over the grand staircase to convey a strong image of luxury and elegance throughout.

That’s furthered by a fleet of Bentleys with private drivers to assist with airport transfers and the like, along with the Middle East’s first ‘Bentley Suite’ which opens in early 2016.

Situated on Sheikh Zayed Road within Al Habtoor City, the hotel is minutes away from the iconic Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall and a 20-minute drive from Dubai International Airport.

All of the hotel’s 182 guestrooms and 52 suites are finely-detailed with modest chandeliers, marble bathrooms and signature St. Regis beds...

... while the elaborate two-storey Royal Suite features its own rooftop plunge pool, a vast living room, an elegant dining room and spacious sitting area, or ‘Majlis’.

The brand’s signature St. Regis Butler Service is also available to all guests – whether staying in standard rooms or the most elaborate suites – for a truly personalised stay, while a number of on-site restaurants cater to every taste.

These include the French-focussed Brasserie Quartier, J&G Steakhouse with Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, The Roof Gardens and its outdoor cabanas, 1930s-style Parisian Café Fleuri, and Le Patio, adorned by olive trees in a rustic courtyard café.

St. Regis Bar also serves up a ‘Golden Mary’ cocktail: a Middle Eastern take on the traditional Bloody Mary which the chain claims was first created at The St. Regis New York, joined by The Champagne Lounge for what you’d expect and Sidra with landscaped gardens in sight.

Iridium Spa too caters for relaxation with six treatment rooms, a steam room and sauna; with a 24-hour fitness centre also available to all guests along with two rooftop swimming pools and a private helipad for when a Bentley doesn’t get you here fast enough.

Members of the Starwood Preferred Guest loyalty program can earn and redeem Starpoints at The St. Regis Dubai hotel.
