Parkroyal, Pan Pacific refurbish Sydney, Perth, Singapore hotels

The Pan Pacific Perth and Parkroyal Parramatta, Sydney hotels are taking on new appearances as part of a $49 million refurbishment project that also extends to Singapore’s Parkroyal on Beach Road and Parkroyal Yangon in Myanmar (Burma).

Parkroyal Parramatta, Sydney hotel

Due for completion in mid-2016, the Parkroyal Parramatta is boosting its room count from 196 to 286 through the construction of a new seven-storey tower…

… set to include a Club Lounge, 40 Club Rooms and 50 Premium Rooms, along with a gymnasium and four new meeting rooms.

The hotel’s existing BAR:30 restaurant and bar will also be expanded to link-up with the nearby Phillip Street.

Over on the west coast, the 486-room Pan Pacific Perth now boasts 132 revamped guestrooms and suites which adopt the brand’s signature colours of rich grey and warm gold, along with a distinctly ‘modern’ vibe.

Marble bathrooms in the newly-refurbished digs also provide new lighting features and amenities, while the lobby is currently being transformed to provide pod-style reception counters and a new water feature.

Of the Parkroyal on Beach Road’s 346 rooms, 130 Premier Rooms have been refurbished to take on a nature-inspired design with floor-to-ceiling windows, a three-metre raised ceiling, free in-room Internet access, bedside power points and 40-inch LED HDTVs.

Also introduced are new 104sqm Executive Suites with separate dining and living areas, a private bedroom, walk-in wardrobe and a luxurious bathroom.

Guests staying in the Executive Suites, along with the Orchid Deluxe and Orchid Premier Rooms can also access an expanded and revitalised Orchid Club Lounge, now featuring an open kitchen with a ‘dish of the day’ and a larger, dedicated food and beverage area.

Parkroyal Yangon, Myanmar

On completing a comprehensive overhaul of its public areas, business centre, Club Lounge, guestrooms, meeting facilities and dining, the Parkroyal Yangon hotel in Myanmar has a strong focus on the latter.

The new Si Chuan Dou Hua Chinese restaurant plates up authentic Si Chuan cuisine and a selection of Cantonese dishes…

… while fans of Japanese food will feel at home in an improved Shiki Tei restaurant.

Added to that is a new Orchid Club Lounge and a revamp and rebrand of the all-day dining restaurant to Spice Brasserie, while the in-house ‘Music Club’ has transformed into ‘Club 5’.

Members of the Global Hotel Alliance Discovery loyalty scheme can enjoy their usual perks such as Local Experience Awards, room upgrades and Internet access when staying at Parkroyal and Pan Pacific hotels, along with other popular brands such as Rydges, QT and Kempinski.
