Paklite unveils new 'Altitude' luggage range

Paklite’s new ‘Altitude’ range of hard-shell suitcases have hit the streets and skies, with both cabin and checked bags now on sale.

All bags come in both Cool Copper and Gun Metal metallic finishes – making them easier to spot at baggage claim – while the 115cm, $239 carry-on Altitude four-wheeler has both a main zip area and an easy-access front pocket.

Inside that pocket is padded space for your laptop and also smaller storage areas for your wallet and mobile phone, avoiding the need to open the bag fully to retrieve and store your valuables at the security checkpoint.

The next size up ditches the front pocket in favour of an expandable main compartment to make way for bulky work items or a little market shopping en route.

Retailing at $279 and in the same colours as the cabin bag, the 145cm Altitude bag is a better fit for travellers that pack light but still need a checked bag, but without being weighed-down by a larger and more traditional suitcase.

Longer trips are the domain of the largest Altitude case – clocking in at 162cms with a price tag of $299 – with more room for those heavy and space-stealing winter coats atop your usual travel kit.

Like the 145cm bag, the king of the range can also expand as needed, and all three bags come with TSA-compliant locks, which allow the security agencies in the United States or Canada to carry out any necessary baggage inspections without destroying the locking mechanism on your suitcase.

This is a good looking luggage, better than some Rimowa luggage I see out there. Is there a way to buy this if we live outside Australia?
