Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station hotel opens in Japan

Business travellers to Osaka, Japan now have even more choice with where they stay thanks to the opening of the Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka Station hotel.

Located adjacent to a railway hub which houses both the long-distance and high-speed Shinkansen services as well as more regionalised JR trains, guests are well-located in Osaka proper and are just 30 minutes away from Kyoto and Kobe by bullet train.

Guest rooms at the Courtyard property range in size between 30 and 90 square metres, while visitors can enjoy meals at ‘Dining & Bar Lavarock’ – a chic, international all-day restaurant – or at Ikka-Ichiyo which specialises in Japanese teppanyaki.

For something more casual, Bar 19 serves up a selection of spirits, wines and cocktails joined by finger foods, with the hotel’s gym also available around the clock and each guest receiving complimentary WiFi Internet access during their stay.

Jetstar flies non-stop between Cairns and Osaka, while Qantas in partnership with both Japan Airlines and Jetstar Japan offers one-stop connections from Sydney and Brisbane via Tokyo, with Japan Airlines offering the same to Sydneysiders.

Shin-Osaka Station isn't the major rail hub for Osaka. It's to the north of the city and 20-30 mins by subway away from the CBD around Umeda.

The entire reason they built Shin-Osaka was becauase they weren't able to bring the Shinkansen lines into Osaka itself.
