Hi all, not in US yet so do not have an US bank account. How can one pay US credit card from overseas without a local bank account? Any experience please?

I live here in the US now so have had experience in paying US bills. You can't do it easily. US credit cards are reliant on the US ACH banking functionality to pull your payments from a linked checking or savings account. I would suggest calling the credit card company to see if there are any other options open to you.

If you have a credit card issued by a U.S. bank, you can take your statement with the pay stub to a branch and pay with cash as well

Plus 3% foreign exchange fee. Plus you are wide open to currency fluctuations AUD versus USD. A 10+% movement in a month is not uncommon. Aussie banks do have the odd branch in the States, would maje transfers easyuer but you run the risk if currency fluctuations. Reckon u should speak to your accountant and watch his face.
