Transiting at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

I have an upcoming connection at Amsterdam Schiphol connecting from SQ to a KLM flight (within the schengen zone.) Does anyone here have any insite/ tips or tricks for transiting here.

You're on Star Alliance members so the transfer should be very easy so everything I've read. If you don't have boarding pass yet, I think you just go to one of the KLM kiosks to get it (assume bags checked through by SQ). The KLM machines will also automatically move you if your inbound flight is delayed I think.

I have an upcoming OW transfer at Schiphol (Shengen to Non-Shengen) which unfortunately won't be so simple! Keen to hear any tips for that one (Finnair to BA).

Oops my mistake! Seperate tickets? You'll probably be in a similar boat to me then...

AMS could be heavy (plenty of arrivals) on passport clearance. Once you clear it, it is super straight forward.
As long as you have enough time, AMS is simple to navigate as any other big airport.

If you are holding separate tickets (likely the case as you are traveling on Star Alliance then Sky Team) you will need to clear immigration and recheck in again for your KL flight. I found AMS pretty efficient so you should be fine if your connection is longer than 2-2.5 hours.

If you can get the check through then it's super easy. When I travel from Asia to London via Amsterdam I have to go through security (super fast) first, but when I travel from Europe to Asia there is no further security/immigration check you just move from one gate to the other.
