LATAM Lounge in Santiago, Chile - Are there beds?

By brettepi | Dec 05, 2017, 09:50 AM
Can someone kindly tell me if there are beds you can use in the LATAM lounge in Santiago? I have a 10 hour layover and wasn't sure whether to stay in the lounge or get a hotel so I can get some sleep. Also I heard the food in the lounge is pretty poor, are there any decent restaurants inside the terminal? Thanks in advance!

There are beds. Review of the lounge here:

As far as food in the terminal there were quite a few choices, mostly food court type food from what I remember.

Don't forget that if you are traveling on an Australian passport and leave the airport then you need to pay the reciprocity fee which was $117US the last time I was there in July this year. Add this to the cost of an airport hotel and it could be an expensive night for just a few hours at the hotel.

The lounge in Santiago is big and modern. It is not fantastic, but it is probably the best airport lounge in South America. They serve decent champagne (Louis Roederer) and they have a little fridge with Hagen Daz ice cream. The overall food selection is very average (especially by Qantas or Emirates standards) but you should be able to find some passable snacks to nibble on. There are plenty of seating options and you should be able to find a quiet corner to relax. The 'beds' are be passable for a snooze but not very private or secure.
