Asiana reluctant to serve veteran business class pax!

You will be interested to hear this story. We fly business or first frequently. Saturday 15 July on Asiana OZ601 to Sydney my wife and I were astounded when, after three of their VERY small glasses of wine, the flight attendant lectured us on the effects of alcohol at altitude, then asked if we were OK to continue. This happened AGAIN later on. We are mature, quiet, polite professionals. There is no way we were disruptive or rude. When questioned about this the flight manager said it was 'airline policy'. I said we had no such issue on our flight on July 13 from Frankfurt in first. Also, the captain on OZ610 left the seatbelt sign on the entire flight. Frankly, this is all unacceptable, and new to us. We've flown all major airlines in the world in premium classes. Kate Kiely and Julius Grafton.

Terrible story. Asiana definitely not worth 5-star given by Skytrax. They used to serve Pol Roger Winston Churchill 2004 (same champagne Qantas first serves) in first, and now? Laurent-Perrier, a business class champagne at best.
Keep the seatbelt sign on entire flight: normal for Chinese carrier, last time flown China Eastern and pilot decided to kept that on for 10 hours (PVG-MEL)
Complain this case to both Asiana and Skytrax, and Skytrax will take one star away from Asiana.

I recently flew Asiana HKG-ICN and ICN-TAS return in J. OK service, old planes/interior, food/drink offering and entertainment lacking. I also note the heavy use of the seatbelt sign to the point that people just ignore it which was concerning.


Whilst I appreciate there are not many options on the later route, it is far better going KUL-TAS with Uzbekistan airways on the 787 (now that's saying something!).
