London Heathrow-bound passengers disappointed at Thai's plans to send its fifth Airbus A380 on the Sydney route – following Frankfurt, Tokyo, Paris and Osaka – shouldn't give up hope of seeing the superjumbo heading for Britain.
The UK capital is top of the list for Thai's sixth A380 in October, the airline's Executive Vice President (Technical), Montree Jumrieng confirmed to Australian Business Traveller today in Toulouse.
We've laid out the full Thai A380 schedule – flight numbers, destinations, timings and all – in a separate article for passengers heading via Bangkok to Germany, Japan and France.
Of course, London-bound passengers shouldn't start getting out the warm beer to celebrate just yet. Jumrieng emphasised that the route isn't set in stone, given that flights are still over a year away.
But for business travellers keen to make the most of the world-beating seating in Thai's A380 on London flights – for all the usual reasons, including a lower cabin altitude, quieter flights and more space – it's "chin up" and watch this space.
