Free this week: Lonely Planet New York city guide iPhone app

By David Flynn     Filed under: iPhone, apps, new york city, Lonely Planet

IN BRIEF | Here's a freebie that's worth grabbing fast. Lonely Planet's New York City travel guide app for the iPhone, which usually sells for $6.49 in the iTunes App Store, is now free until 1am Friday 16 December 2011 (AEDT).

To download the free NYC guide you'll first need to to install the new Lonely Planet App –  click here for the Australian iTunes App Store, or here for the US iTunes App Store.

Then click the Store button and scroll down to the New York City Guide, which along with all the other Lonely Planet city guides is now treated as an 'in-app' purchase (although this time around it's free) rather than a stand-alone download. Tap to install and get ready for Gotham!
